Product Description
Aromas of peach, apple and nectarine, with light floral notes and a touch of minerality. Clean, crisp and fresh, with great acidity. Excellent with savory cheeses and fish/shellfish (especially dishes such as bouillabaisse).
A benchmark producer of traditionally-styled Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Pegau's bottlings are justifiably ranked among the greatest wines in the world. 60% Clairette, 20% Grenache blanc, 10% Roussanne and 10% Bourboulenc. Vines average 25 years in age. Bunches were pressed whole and the juice was run into stainless steel tanks for a cool fermentation. Filtered and bottled very young, with no malolactic conversion.
