Product Description
Dry-farmed Merseguera vines planted in limestone soils at 1,000 meters above sea level. It fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel, except for 10% of the volume, which was in well-seasoned 500-liter French oak barrels. It matured in stainless steel with fine lees for nine months. It's pale, clean and expressive, with notes of white flowers and herbs, with contained ripeness, good freshness

Grapes: 100% Merseguera from 20-60 year-old vines planted at 900-1,200 meters. Bush (en vaso) vines. Soils/Climate: Chalky limestone and sand schists from the Cretaceous and Jurassic periods. Mediterranean mountain climate with continental influence. Cold and dry. Significant thermal variation between daytime and night. Less than 350mm rainfall in 2022. Viticulture: Organic and biodynamic, no tractors, minimum tilling, hand harvested, and following the biodynamic calendar of Maria Thun. Winemaking: Minimal intervention winemaking. No additives are added to the wine: we do not use clarifiers, enzymes, yeasts, or nutrients. Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel (90%) and 500L French oak (10%). Blended and rested on the fine lees for 9 months in all stainless. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. |
