The grape that once was nearly extinct on the Aeolian Islands has slowly been brought back into focus thanks to Castellaro using massale selection to revive the almost forgotten grape. This was showing brilliantly, with savory game notes and pepper almost reminiscent of another beloved grape from the Northern Rhône
